Leipzig

Last week Joshua and I carpooled our way to Leipzig with Andres. He went to his office and we walked into town on the hunt for a Deutche Bank which is the sister bank to Bank of America. It was a really cold day so we made sure to stop in almost every store along our way.

We stopped in H&M and found the most amazing black button up shirt for Josh. It fits him perfect and we had to buy it. Along with the suspenders. The jacket was not the right color so we passed on that. He just looks so good in everything he puts on.

We picked up our VW Bug from Andres office and drove it home! It is such a blessing to us all the things that Andres is letting us use. We get to drive this car around, live in an apartment and it is all IN Germany. Such a difference in how we were living in the mountains.

This is Lidl. The store we do most of our grocery shopping at. It is very cheap to buy food in Germany.... for example a fresh Basil plant is 99 cents, one big beer is 56 cents, Apple juice is 1 euro 50,  a huge stick of salami about a foot long is 2 euros. We fill our basket half way and it ends up being about 30 euros which is about 40 dollars. Not to mention the Coca Cola here is so cheap and so much tastier than the kind in America. There is not so much carbonation that it hurts your throat and it is made with cane sugar and has a richer taste. We get our bread fresh daily at one of the many bakery's around town. One makes the best cheese bread and the other makes the best apple streusel cakes. Josh found one with cheese and bacon on it and he was very excited about that.

Having all these new experiences with my Husband is one of the greatest things in life. We will always remember the way that we lived when we were in Germany. I am sure that our habits will be molded by the simplicity of German culture. I am still amazed every day that the Lord provided all of this for us.
